IISB : Laser Tag War ZOne

To highlight everyone, I'm now currently working as consultant/project manager in a MSC company, IT INSIGHT SDN BHD which is located in I-City Sdn Bhd.

Oh actually my post is not about my new company, but it's about the sport club activity which is organized by my company. By right, we will be having monthly sport club activity. However, we have been hibernating for 1-2 months due to busy schedules. Finally we got to chance to get blend together again. This month activity is to "Laser Tag War Zone" which is just located a street opposite our office! So near....

You must be wondering what is laser tag? Laser tag is a simulated war game similar to paintball (minus the ‘pain’) where you are either the hunter or the hunted. You strap on a vest with censors then go into the game arena to find and shoot the other team hiding in between the maze.

Actually it's quite cheap if you are planning to play with a peer of friends or colleagues. RM50 for 3 battles with maximum 20 peoples at a time. It also include a burger and free-flow drink (while stock last). It's sounds like super deal isn't? Hehehheheheh!

We actually went in there around 11am, went there in a group of 19 pax. We actually being given a private room for having our early breakfast/lunch while waiting for our turn to play. There is a television which is used to play the video on how to play, and also providing some tit bits for us to eat while waiting. Oh ya, not to forget the zanga wood games that used to kill our time while waiting for other teams.

After a while, we being brought to a briefing room for a further explanation on how we should handle the gun, or handle ourself while in the arena. Abit kan chiong... coz not knowing what is inside, and how we should move around in the dark. hahahah! Ya ya... abit "katak di bawah
tempurung"! LOLX! Anyway, how do I look with the gadget on my body? Cool huh!

Ok, let's the war begin. Basically, the vest on our body are with light indicator. They are 6 spots in our body that others can target ; 2 on shoulders, 1 on our back, 1 on our stomach, and 2 on our waist.

1st Game : They are no tam separation, we just shoot each other! "Tembak only!", and see who can get the highest scrore. I got number 5 in the first game, me holding "NITRO" gun. Wow! not bad.

2nd : In this game, we are separated in 3 teams (Red, Blue and Green). We are required to shoot other teams, and accumulate the points. I'm in Blue team (holding Alpha gun), and gladly... thanks to the co-operation from all of us. You will know the results by looking at the result as below :

Lastly, there are slight different for 3rd game, where each of us will have our own base. We will need to somehow protect our group base, to prevent other intruder in shooting the main-point in our base area, to get more points. Hahaha! This game makes us sweat like hell, as we are required to run around to shoot each other and at the same time, protect the area.

I remember there is one point of time, where someone from Red team trying hard to shoot on our main-point. To prevent her to continue shoot, I use my buttock to cover her gun. LOL!!!!!!! So tricky isn't? Not sure whether did I fart that time? Ok, just joking.. I didn't. :p

My point not bad as well, me holding "Eagle" gun and I got number 6! Fuyohhh!!!

It was a good game! I enjoyed the spirit of playing together, blend together, keeping our mind away from the pressure of work. I wish we could spend more time doing this kind of activities together. (A reason for us to snake during working Saturday! Hahahah!)

Oh ya, not to forget... Since it was my first time playing this "excited" game. Without realizing, I knee alot during the game. No wonder I started to feel "pain" on my knee after the first game, while resting for the next game. I thought it's due to my bad-stamina or physical-condition, causing me to get some minor muscle pain on my leg. Without thinking much, I continue play, and continue to knee! WTF!!! Just because me being too serious in every game, kneeing in every game, make me almost "lost" my leg. Why? Why losing my leg? You will know after you scroll down and .......

:: Badminton Leisure Day @ Botanic Resort Club ::

As all you know, I am a badminton addictor..It getting even worst since I joined Faxcore mainly because they do play every Tuesday and Friday. So, apa lagi, join la!

That's when I decided to get new badminton shoe, new badminton bag and more. LOL! If everything fixed according to the schedule, I will be playing 3 days in a week and sometime 4 days per week (not fixed).

1) Tuesday and Friday (with Faxcore colleagues) - confirmed
2) Thursday (with Leong's friends) - tentative
3) Saturday morning (with Meng Liang's friends) - tentative

Everybody is asking me "You are insane is it, play so many days per week!" And I only can give the *sweat* because I don't blame them for not knowing my itchiness in playing badminton. It can help me diet too! *Maybe that's the main reason la*

Ok ,back to badminton session with Faxcore.They decided to change the venue of Friday's night badminton from our regular place to Botanic Resort Club's morning session due to the place was occupied by some wedding.

First time visiting this club and we (non-member) required to pay RM10 for unlimited use of their facility including the badminton hall, the swimming pool, the squash court, the changing room (this is a MUST ok), the gym, the tennis court and many more (which yet to be explored). RM10 for all, cheap isn't it? But neverthless, one existing member must present that day for us to be eligible in getting such priviledge in enjoying their facility at such a cheap rate.

I woke up at 7:30am (wtf! so early for an holiday!), get prepared and go out at 830am and reach office at 850am. Yeap, I met up with Jeremy (my crazy and siao colleague) at office mainly as me being road-blinded not sure how to go Botanic Club. ^_^ Thanks Jemery, ya!

We started the badminton session once everyone started to reach around 930. Some of "them" even reach at 10am! LOL!! You know, I know why....... :p

The court not bad, but just abit stuffy being in there for sometime. Mainly maybe the ventilation fan is so tiny mini size, not enough for a good air circulation especially with those guys who sweat like hell after badminton session! Anyway, enjoy playing with them and most importantly I get to play too! Bravo!!!!! Ma-ma-mi-ya!!!

:: Final Destination VI ::

You must be wondering is there a Final Destination Season 6 (VI), shouldn’t be the latest with season 4 (IV) being played in the cinema?

Ok, if you are clever enough, obviously I’m not talking about the movie of Final Destination which was played in the cinema last month with all blood splashing or head chopping scene.

Here I would be gladly to announce that I’m in the “FINAL” for the badminton tournament which I participate and compete yesterday.

By winning 2 rounds continuously (since this league is “knock out” tournament), I manage to put myself for final which suppose to be somewhere next week or next next week. I was one of the final 6 (there’s how the post title comes from).

I will be competing with Joanne, known as the main competitor in this tournament. Everybody predicted that both of us can get through all the preliminary rounds to go into Final. So, the result turns out to be like what they expected. Congratulation for betting it correctly! How good if you guys can predict what 4-D number that will be drawn this weekend so I can buy it too! Anyone, 4 numbers please..!!! LOL!

Maybe sharing little bit of how I felt during the game. Chung Leng (my 1st competitor) plays aggressively as she did drop the shuttle left and right side of the court in the 1st few minutes. But somehow lost her beat after a while and I manage to grab the points leading her at least 5~8 points ahead. She comes back with a more aggressive game on the 2nd set with mire on drop shot/net play this time. At least it make me sweat for my 1st game (being cocky abit* LOL!). The match ended around 20~25 minutes with me winning over her. Congratulation *tapping shoulder*

Proceed with the 2nd game against Sin Jin. She is little bit passive in the games where she felt so reluctant to run/move forward to chase the shuttle. I did slow down the momentum to suit her, but somehow she does not want to fight/compete. Sigh~ So I beat her easily in 1st set and 2nd set. Congratulation again! *tapping butt this time*

Yes, the video #1 (below) prove it when I show my big “O” mouth FUGLY’LY (means very very super super UGLY) when I made a wrong-court serves. This reaction makes me look so ugly and I did it very often when I did a mistake. That’s not good for me as it will spoil my image, man! I promise I will try *my best* not to show any of them during final. Damn it, still very ugly when repeating the video again and again. Please bear with me.

:: My last participation @ Spansion ::

Another participation for Spansion's activities, and guess what, this will be my first and last sport participation because I'm leaving in 3 weeks. *sob sob*

I will be participating in badminton tournament organized by SRC (HR commitee council) this coming Thursday. The poster for this tournament was up a month ago with weird rules and regulation. No registration fees are required for any registration.

Originally, they do not have any rule in gender-categorization (OPEN to everyone) which mean men's doubles might be fighting with mix-double or female's doubles. That's is so unfair right?? That is so unfair to me la to be specific! LOL!

They claimed the budget allocated for the prize is not enough for more than one categories. WTF! RM100 hamper for Champion and RM60 hamper for 1st-runner up is not alot ok! Maybe alot for a company which is in Chapter-11. LOL! Further giving excuses, they claim not many female will want to join for the competition. What a such naive statement, then I should be in which category? Pondan category ka? Hahaha!

They need to get at least 16 teams (men's double) and 8 teams (female's single) to complete the minimum participants. But luckily, they somehow manage to get all participants before the dateline due.

Ok, after further complains* from most of the ladies, the comittee decided to open another category for female single. Yeay! So I can join without the need to face or against any male opponent. Let me share the prize offered for the potential winners.

1st : RM100 worth hamper
2nd : RM60 worth hamper

Female's single
1st : RM50 worth hamper
2nd : RM30 worth hamper

The last time me joining badminton competition was like humppppp* during Form 3, representing school for MSSD, year 1999....counting.......flickering fingers....OMG! It was 10 years ago! That SF long from now. But don't worry, not getting champion that time neither. Only manage to get into semi-final with a luck of not meeting state player before that.

But anyway, I did played with friends for fun as exercise last few months, and stopped since then. Still worried whether I can play like 10 years ago, and not embarassing myself infront of other player.

I registered myself and I will be fighting my 1st opponent for my 1st game this Thursday. So wish me good luck, and I hope to post some good news to share with you all.

:: Spansion Hunt ::

Hui Juin, Kah Wai (IT), Siew Ping (Planning) and I decided to participate in this internal activity organized by Quality department. And since we had 1-old boy and 3 pretty ladies, so we named our group as Charlie & Angels, mainly to reflect the "Charlie Angels" movie where 3 pretty and sexy ladies fighting and flirting around to get the task done with the help of Charlie as their co-ordinator.

The differences between the real Charlie's Angel and fake Charlie's Angel is

• "Our Charlie does not have mustard mustache" *original Charlie more handsome right?
• "Our 3 angels are not wearing bikini and running around the beach" *we only running around Spansion*
• Our charlie running slower than the angels *and causing me need to act like lion roaring around for him to catch up faster HAHAHHA*
• And most importantly "We don't flirt around". =__=" *we did TRY to flirt the judges or other male opponents to give the next clue-and it failed completely*

Ok, let's continue with the event. We, Spansion Charlie & Angels Team get ready by 5:15pm and ended the whole Spansion Hunt at 6:00pm, by completing 5 challenges, solving 5 riddles completing by collecting 10 clues.

Preparing for our Spansion Hunt, hmmm..i wonder who tease me that time...Am i scolding people??!! @_@

The Spansion Hunt includes ranges of challenges from breaking the ice, solving charade (word guessing game), running right, left, top and bottom just to collect hidden clues, finding clues which was hidden in a bunch of eath worms, and for the 1st time Hui Juin carry me on her back.

Our hero for the day, Kah Wai who sacrify his teeth+gum blood biting the harden ice (it's really looks HARD!!!) to get our 1st clue.. Poor Kah Wai!

She who is having weight at 59kgs need to carry me who had 5 kgs lesser than hers. Pity her... Actually, i do have intention to carry her, but not sure whether can i fling her on my back, and stand for 20 seconds. Anyway, she made it! KHJ, you're my hero!!

Other than that, we also need to run around Spansion like crazy women, to make sure we get our clues ASAP and treat it as jogging routine (part of slimming plan). I guess we ran too aggresively and our MD, Jerome can't stand of it and asked while we are running passing him..."Why everybody is walking but you guys were running??". I also can't stand and replied with "Would you like to join us??". I guess he showed the SWEAT =___= face, but we already left him behind, continuing our clue-finding!

Too bad, we accidentally took the wrong clue which direct to final point with only 3 clues on-hand. We wasted like maybe 10 minutes waiting for nothing, so i fiercely asked for next clue to continue our clue-finding. But we are 10 minutes behind, which enough to be the last team to arrive for final check-point. Gggrrrrr~~~~~~

Anyway, we manage to complete all challenges and grab "8" as our lucky team achievement with the total of 9 teams participation. Yes!!! yes..~~ T.T we are the 2nd top team [FROM BOTTOM]..... So, to cure our sadness for being top 2[FROM BOTTOM], we were served with Free Early Dinner. The menu for the day is Mee Hun, Keropok Lekor, Sandwiches, Ice Syrup and Hot Teh Ice.
